Hurrah! Festival
Named in honor of the original community that founded Sevier County, the Hurrah! Festival has been going on for 30 years and is hosted by the Sevier County Museum. This annual fall festival celebrates the history of the county through actors in the museum’s miniature village. A veteran’s walk kicks off festivities, blue grass music and Native American dancers perform throughout the day and in 2019 a Forged in Fire knifemakers competition was added.
Fiesta Fest
Fiesta Fest is held the first Saturday of May and proceeds from the festival helps build student scholarships at the UA Cossatot. In 2019 , the festival moved to the town square and added more space for community vendors and family games.
The festival celebrates the diversity of cultures in Sevier County and features Native American dancers, traditional Mexican dancers, ethnic food vendors and mobile shopping trailers.
On the morning of the festival, the Chamber of Commerce hosts their de Colores 5K and Fun Run that partners with SWARK Ainsley’s Angels.
Blue Darter Days
Blue Darter Days is a two day festival and crafts show in the Historic Lockesburg Gym located at the UA Cossatot Lockesburg campus. Blue Darter Days invites local and regional vendors to set up a booth and gather near the original town square and city center of Lockesburg.
Horatio Hometown Happenings
Horatio Hometown Happenings is focused on creating new and bringing back old traditions that made the Horatio community connected. Events focus on the Party at the Park, Horseshoe Tournament, 5K Fun Runs, weekend flea markets, Harvest Festival and Car Shows.
Tri Lakes Bass Tournament
Area anglers, get ready: the Tri-Lakes Big Bass Festival is held each year on the De Queen, Gillham, and Dierks Lakes. Prize money and door prizes are paid out through out the day. For more information, contact the De Queen/Sevier County Chamber of Commerce.
Sevier County Fair and Rodeo
The Sevier County Fair and Rodeo is held each year in August at Sevier County Fairgrounds. Before the rodeo will be a Parade and Grand Entry. Come for the rodeo, stay for the Fair events!
Community Christmas Parades
Each year, on the first Saturday of December the communities in our County host their Christmas parade featuring local businesses, dance groups, bands, first-responders and always a visit from the North Pole!
Cossatot Colt Basketball
For the 2019-2020 school year, UA Cossatot launched a club basketball program. The men and women’s Colt Basketball team host home games at the restored 1950’s Historic Lockesburg Gym.
King Art Show
Hosted by the Cossatot Arts and Crafts Association, this annual fundraiser features local artist and artisans at the Historic King School. Photography, watercolor, quilting, oil on canvas and other art mediums from four states are typically featured.
Market in the Park
Join local vendors the second Saturday of every month in the
Lockesburg City Park from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
